DIY Cleaners
All-Purpose Cleaners
Vinegar & Water
Pour in a spray bottle 1:1 Vinegar & Water
Optional: 5-10 drops of Essential Oils (Tea Tree, Eucalyptus, Lavender)
**Not suited for granite or marble
Castile Soap & Water
Pour in a spray bottle 2 TBSP to 1/4 cup Liquid Castile Soap
Add 2 Cups Water
Optional: 5-10 drops of Essential Oils (Tea Tree, Eucalyptus, Lavender)
Castile & Baking Soda
2 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Liquid Castile Soap
about 1 1/2 cups water
Method: Mix 1 cup of water with baking soda. Add Castile soap, If there’s room in your bottle, you can add the remaining 1/2 cup water.
Surface Cleaners/Polishers
Leather Cleaner
½ cup White Vinegar
¼ cup Olive Oil
1 cup cooled boiled water
5-10 drops each of Eucalyptus & Lemon Essential Oil
Wood Polish
1 Tbsp Almond Oil or Coconut Oil
3-5 drops Lemon or Lavender essential oil
Method: Drop or dab a small amount on your dusting cloth, and rub gently on all your wooden surfaces to remove the dust.
Granite & Marble Cleaner
1/4 Cup Rubbing Alcohol
2 drops Castile Soap
2 Cups Water
Glass Cleaner
1:1 Apple Cider Vinegar & Water
Bit of dish soap
Spray Bottle
Scours & Disinfectant
All-Purpose Scour Paste
1 2/3 cups Baking Soda
1/4 cup Liquid Castile Soap
1/4 cup Water
Method: Stir until the mixture is the consistency of whipped cream. Store in a labelled, air-tight container. Rinse well after applying.
Cleans tubs, tiles, toilets, sinks, clothes stains. Tackles mold and mildew, too.
All-Purpose Scour Powder
1 cup Baking Soda
1/2 cup Salt (non-iodized)
1/2 cup Washing Soda
Optional: 5 drops lemon essential oil
Method:

Lightly wet surface with water or undiluted white vinegar (for really bad messes)

Sprinkle powder on and let sit 5 minutes

Scrub with sturdy brush until clean

Disinfectant
Hydrogen Peroxide 3%
Dark spray bottle
Method: Always clean before you disinfect. Allow a 5 minute contact time on a surface to kill bacteria, fungi and viruses in domestic settings. No need to rinse or wipe it off because it decomposes into oxygen and water.
Laundry
Clothes Stain Remover
Equal parts Baking Soda, Hydrogen Peroxide, and Water
Method: Rub solution into stain and let sit for 30 minutes. Use a brush or old toothbrush to loosen any residue. Wash clothes as usual.
Bleach Alternative
3/4 cup 3% Hydrogen Peroxide
1/4 cup lemon juice
3/4 cup Baking Soda
10-15 drops lemon essential oil
7 cups water
Method: Combine all ingredients in a container capable of holding 1/2 gallon or more. Shake well. Use 1 cup per load, washing with hottest water setting available.
Fabric Softener
1/4 cup Distilled White Vinegar
Method: Add to your fabric softener dispenser.
